What Happened?
On 17 June, India's statement at the G7 summit called for AI systems that keep human beings at the centre. It proposed safe-by-design AI, common standards and testing frameworks, regulatory sandboxes, stronger action against deepfakes and misinformation, digital watermarking and broader access to AI for the Global South.
