India’s supercomputing ecosystem reaches 40 systems and 68 PF under NSM

What Happened?

The National Supercomputing Mission, launched in 2015, was reviewed on 4 October 2026. India had deployed 40 supercomputers with combined capacity of 68 petaflops by September 2026, while the mission continues to develop indigenous servers, cooling, networking and HPC software.
