New rules address recovery of unpaid National Highway tolls

What Happened?
The amended rules took effect on 17 March. Unpaid toll can attract twice the applicable fee, but payment within 72 hours of the e-notice limits the amount to the original fee. Persistent non-payment can be recorded in VAHAN.
